In his personal sculpture garden, Australian artist Bruno Torfs crafts wooden figures that live in the forest. Embracing fantasy, his life-sized works feature delightfully unusual characters.
This guy’s work is absolutely beautiful. The sad part of his story is that bushfires almost destroyed Marysville, his hometown, in 2009. He survived, but his garden gallery was severely damaged. He has since rebuilt and has added new works. Here’s what it looked like right after the fires. A very harrowing kind of beauty.
